Martin Groma of Slovakia will become the inaugural coach of the Somang Prep Team for season 2021-2022.

After an exhaustive search that lasted well over a month and involved many highly qualified candidates from all over the world, Somang Hockey is very pleased to announce that we have gotten our guy for the position of Head Coach of our newly formed Prep Team. Somang is honored to announce that Martin Groma of Slovakia will become the inaugural coach of the Somang Prep Team. Coach Groma comes to Somang with an incredible background that includes more than ten years as a professional player before he transitioned into coaching. His career highlights to date include stints as the Manager of the Slovakian National U16, U17, and U23 teams as well holding the honor of being the youngest ever coach of a professional team in Slovakia. Further rounding off his pedigree, Martin has also been the lead coach for numerous camps in places such as Germany, Russia, the USA, and Canada, having coached well over 10,000 players along the way.
